"Bottles" in the Malaysian Streets

I know you don't see glass bottles on the street... Nonetheless, there are plenty of mineral bottles.. hahaha... But I am not talking about this tonight. I am sure for those who drives around the capital city of Malaysia, our FEDERAL TERRITORY..yes..Kuala Lumpur.. you will know what I mean.

Well, I work in the heart of the city... the golden triangle of the city actually... And I can tell you... you will not be surprise as how the city planner get their certificates..... KL is already congested enough with millions of vehicles going in and out of the city everyday and yet they just love to build bottle neck roads where 4 lanes can end up to 2 miserable lanes.

Traffic Lights
NOT SYNCHRONIZED AT ALL.... It can be a green light here and the next thing you know... it's red on the next light that is about 100 meters away!!

Traffic Jams...
Boy am I not surprise.... With bottle necks like those in NPE, Jalan Gasing, Jalan Imbi, Jalan Bukit Bintang.... No wonder the city is always in halt. I would say that having the increasing rate of people purchasing cars...the city is going to be at a stop completely one day.

FLYING IN MALAYSIA

I am not talking about MAS or AirAsia.... it more like... NPE and NKVE or SPRINT... lol. Have u all noticed that more and more fly-over are being build nowdays? layers and layers of fly-overs are starting to show in our country's capital.

My aunt from Spore came down one day and she saw a new fly-over build near my place and she said... how come Malaysia got so many fly-overs... well I got a few simple answers :

1. To ease the so called jam by causing more jam while building it for the next year or so.
2. Bad road planning years and years ago.
3. Need more money (... nuff said...)

by then when they finish the project there will be an all new four way lane! wow... but one thing they didnt see... at the end of the road... it all is crammed down to a two way lane... again... well then... they manage to solve the jam at the start of the road... and cause MORE jam.. at the end of the road.... by expecting 4 lanes to cram into 2 lanes....alrite...! CHEERS for the planners! woohooo!

Oh yes for ur information... the round-about near metropolitan college that links to SJMC and Summit and Sunway already has a 2 layer flyover.... guess wut... there is gonna be a third layer... just to solve all the congestion problem... around there... again... cool.... great... wow...

Another one is the fly-over at jln. gasing round-about. It actually doesnt really make sense. Its a one lane flyover...(well it looks like it) and it links Old Klang road to jln Gasing.... hmmmmm. i just dont understand... why cant they make two lane thingy and link OKR and Gasing for both direction? the jam usually is caused from the cars at gasing to OKR and not the other way around. Well we will have to see how does affect the jam after the road is opened....

(*OKR- old klang road.. well for this article its more of jln templer that links to OKR)

LOCAL SPORTS MENTALITY- esp football!

After watching the all mighty treble winning, big team killing all conquering Selangor.... well well... look where are they now... second from bottom of the table... and letting in the most goals... well my fren asked me... "wut happen to Selangor la... ??" i told him... it is normal. i saw it happened b4. the last time Selangor won the Malaysia Cup the following season they got relegated. As long as u got Malaysians in it, the team will not be consistent... for a long time. yes, we have thet "Malaysia Boleh" thing in all of us. well this is the thing... when the national team performs properly... we will be proud Malaysians... but when the team slacks... everyone will just hide n criticise. The problem with this is the mentality of our ppl. we dont really have anything to drive us or push us. For instance... look at the African nations... they are not blessed with lavish stadiums, fields and high end facilities but look at them.....but they still made it. they knows wut is hardship and so they usually put all of their effort just to make it big so they can come out of poverty. ok, forget about the africans... look at the brazillians. yes samba and all is one of their excuses or wut u call that... Ginga that makes their magical football work. but deep in the core of it is bcoz they need the cash to survive... and of course to live up to the country's name in producing good footballers. one main thing that makes all this mighty footballing country is passion, pride and tradition. The honour and pride to put on the national jersey and they will do everything to defend thet jersey!

Well as we Malaysian couldnt understand why we perform so badly with all this high tech facilities... even the national coach couldn't understand how his team just crumble in the last 20 mins during the tiger cup lost to Indonesia. From a 2-1 lead in the first leg... in indonesia... then back in bukit jalil for the second leg we took a 1-0 lead in the first half, only to crumble in the second half to a 1-4 lost. I got a reason why.... its the lack of winning mentality... i was at the stadium itself... the atmosphere was electrifying. but wut i saw in the last 15 minutes was a clear sign of lack mental resilience! i cant remember that player's name... but he is the left back then.. imagine... the indon player was just a few meters away from him... in the malaysian half... he just walk towards him... and when the indon player dribbled pass him... he makes no effort to track him down... and the left winger instead have to track him down.... well.... i let u judge on that... is it lack of mentality and physical power or wut...? cmon man.... when we played against New Zealand last time we lost i still can accept that the new zealander won in the physical aspect... as they were more taller and build and they got a few players plying their trades in europe. but the Indons.... they are the same physical size...and most of them playing amateur football in their own country... but yet they still trash us physically and mentally.... not to say footbally! Now i rather our players play instead as a pro but as amateur footballers just like the glory days in our nations footballing years.... the 60's n 70's and a lil' in the 80's.

Alot of my friends says that there is no future in footballing career in Malaysia... well... that is the thing! all sports got no career in da future if u dont put all wut u got in. Look at nicol davids... she so far now is the glimmer of light of the country. she dedicated her life to squash. and of course she got the mentality to do it. our badminton players... we are good... but we are not great. no matter how much we do... we are always playing second fiddle to China and Indonesia. Why... why???! well... simple... we are just not good enough. JUST not GOOOD ENOUGH mentally and physically! then again if u are good in anything there is always a future! be it football or lawnbowl, heck even dart can be good enuff. That is why our country is so slow in da sports. it is bcoz of all this ppl, some influenced by parents and some just dowan to make the difference, and because of that... they drag everyone along with them as in influencing them.

There are many of my friend that is a good sportsmen n women during my skool days, football, basketball or atheletics but all of them ended up studying college and working normal jobs now. WHAT HAPPENED????!?!?! Well, of course i am not ruling out one of the main problem that cause all of this to happen... is...well favouritism that is... i am not to mention further. but if u are malaysian u will understand what i mean.

As long as we have this mentality, we will never improve. we can criticise and brag about how bad malaysian football or sports is playing but end of the day... we are the main cause of this to happen!

Drivers in Malaysia

It's Saturday and everyone suppose to be a little more relax.... It's not the case in a big city.

I was on the way to work today having my dad dropping me off. How fast can an old man drive?? 110km/h on a residential road? You must be CRAZY to say yes! Anyway, this young chap of about probably in his thirties was flashing his lights at our car and when he finally over took us, he was shaking his head and pointing his finger against his head..... (of course the car in front of him STILL slowed him down!). Imagine, my dad was already driving like 80km/h.

Just the other day, we were on the way down town and our car was already half way out to the main road from a junction. This bastard honk at us and squeeze his way in front of us so that our car will not turn into the main road. What was his problem!! He have the time to press his car horn and don't tell me he DON"T have the time to press his brakes!! Suckers for accidents.......
