The Death of Democracy

What has the world become? I thought we have already moved from old school non-negotiable terms to a neutral point of compromise or even democracy. The saddest part is whats happening in reality. It seems like after all the decades and centuries of political growth and maturity, or so we thought, democracy is vanishing. Or did it even existed in the 1st place.

What happened to Democracy? What happened to the votes and the voices of the people? Or does it even matter any more since the power has already been self-form mutated to Death-mocracy.

It has all came to a stage so low that bootlicking (not that this have changed much!) and tyranny is coming back to haunt us. People getting kill, let me rephrase that, INNOCENT people getting killed and their blood shed for someone else who is trying to make a statement. Is that fair? Some may say that, to get something done, someone will have to get killed along the way. It is just the way of survival. Better still, SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.

So, Do you think Democracy is dead? I think democracy is not only dead but was long buried and it has not  be resurrected. Perhaps it never will.

Compliment anyone?

The economy is not doing too well and the recovery is not standing in front of your door... not as yet... and what do you do?

Basically, you work doubly hard to keep your job and at times try to keep others where they are but sometimes, you have to stop and think that you only have a pair of hands. That is how much you can do.....

Nonetheless, I can say that you will feel extremely miserable if you do so much... without luck and everything just does not turn out the way it is planned. Need someone to motivate you? I think everyone needs to be motivated at this time of the year..... team work isn't it?

But where is my lady luck when you need her? You can do so much and nothing is given back to you but instead, being 'punished' for not delivering... It is just sad....

Now I understand what is meant when I hear people saying that a lot of people suffers during the economic meltdown..... it is really tough.... but it is even tougher when lady luck is not at your side....

GOD have mercy over us and protect us from all evil.

Malaysian Stingy on Compliments

Going for a performance is such an interesting thing to do especially with your loved ones.... what added to it was it was a MAGIC SHOW.

Recently, I went to a show with my fiancee in Genting Highlands named 'DREAMZ". Of course the story line was crap but magic never fail to amuse me. It is usual that whenever an act is completed, you feel awed and you just want to give them the applause for the wonderful performance, which we did.

I was pretty embarrass when it was only both of us clapping our hands while the audiences around us was just mere silent. You can see the amazement on their faces but it is just, perhaps, an Asian culture to keep quiet.

I have done performances before and silents is the last thing you want from your audiences. I believe we should give some form of applause for the wonders or even amazement performers provide us. It will really lighten up their days (although they get them almost everyday!!). It is a gesture to show appreciation and to also let them know that you are enjoying yourself...

Malaysia, learn to give applause generously as it will boost the performers!!!

END OF THE WORLD! After reading an article in yahoo® website regarding extreme weathers in the world which u can read here. I have come to think about could the next ice age come? could this be the end of the world for humankind? Actually it kinda create that buzz in my mind that this global warming thing is starting to be less and less funny already.

The last time we talked about there is a hole in the ozone, most of us just go "wah, die lo.." but now after looking at all the news and documentaries, It is starting to creep me out. Yes Al Gore did have a documentary that is talking about global warming "The Inconvienient Truth" and yes it is really and inconvienient feeling after watching it. All the normal things that we do are actually helping this to happen. Air conditioners, aerosol sprays, open burnings, automobiles and of course ciggies.

We are killing ourselves softly and we are actually enjoying it. Is it worth it? Living life to the fullest? Maybe I am just paranoid but I have the right to be. Look at South Africa, sudden snow fall. Look at Russia, warmest ever record for temperature! Snow in africa??!! and a warm Russia? what the freaking hell man?!!! Ok dont look outside our country. Just look at the weather in Malaysia. El nino, La Nina is striking our country hard. When it is warm its darn warm and when its wet its darn wet! floods and droughts all around... how can this be? and u all still can be able to sit there and smile and stone??!

Yes we are doing as much as we can to help the environment but it is still not enough to strike deep into the minds of many Malaysians. We still tend to be lazy and use plastic bags when we go marketing or grocery shopping. We still stuff every paper and shieats into one bag and throw it. We still drive a car or motorbike even though we just have to travel to a destination 300m away. Yes snatch theft and psycho rapist is around. Creepy but there is still alot of ways of doing things.

The reason why is, not enough coverage on this matter. We are not making it the most matter of fact thing. The community ads on radio and tv is just not hitting hard enough. Parents are not strict on their kids as well. The school can teach but wut the parents do at home will be wut the kids will be doing also. So are we doing enough to help save our planet? are we are we???!! are YOU??!! i did!! i walk more then i drive now. I took the effort to buy a bicycle so i do not need to drive to nearby places. i tried to voice out about the importance of recycling. RECYCLING does not mean stealing manhole covers, ripping wires or stealing ppl's fence or gate!! Recycling is to throw your rubbish to appropriate designation. Glass for glass... plastic for plastic.. paper for paper and aluminium for aluminium!! tats all... simple. But no we are not doing it! Rules are not strict enough.. why? bcoz no one cares! All we care is about ourselves... oh wait... it will affect you toooo... well nvm... by the time we realise it.. it will be too late... so now i bid adieu to you all and thank you for contributing to global warming!

Working World

Why do we work? why must work be so tough/hard? This is a simple question almost every working people work. Some enjoy their work some dont at all and worse of all, despise their work. WHY? the big question!

We sometimes work to support our life, to move on and have a couple of quids to spend or support the family BUT that is not the case sometimes. The world has been so competitive that the working life is becoming a numbing feeling. Everyone is on their toes every minute of work. Some even bring home work, some don't even go home from work! Living in the hussle and bustle of KL sometimes takes the toll on some.

When we fall, we are branded weak. When we move up fast, we are branded apple polisher. Its just not as simple as college life anymore. In college you are the dominant one but at work, unless you make it or else you will be dominated. Working world is so complex and complicated but somehow it seems so simple and easy. When you think you can take the world, the world hits back at you.

Sometimes, do you wonder why must we all work in this kind of environment? Do you look at the television and see the farmers and or artist in small towns and wish your life can be as simple as that? I bet lots of people do. But the thought of having a few luxurious items and the crave for power and status lure us into the big city.

Do you envy those who actually enjoys their jobs? Those that live for their jobs. those that actually working just to quench their ever present crave of passion.

Do you have to work the job that u hate??? But we are all living in this corporate world so somehow we have to stick it in and suck up and walk through this pain barrier we call work stress! and hope that sooner or later you will get used to it! or more like, get numb from this.

So to settle or walk through all this mayhem in working life, the most important asset to have is to have a loved ones to talk to and pour, and to have a mentor that understands and guide you through it with advice and suggestions.

My father always told me, "Find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life. -Jim Fox: Quotes about Work-

!!Here Comes The Con Man!!

We hear of this often from friends & even in the newspapers. Never have I imagined to actually seeing & experiencing 1st hand. Believe me, it is pretty threatening in some way or another. Let me share the experience with you.

I received the email from my colleague saying to beware of a person who delibrately ask about the Banking product and take your business card. He then called her to meet her at a hotel lobby claiming himself as the Operation Manager of Sunway Hotel, Penang. As a sales person, you will oblige to meet the potential client. My colleague was smart enough to bring a friend along just in case. Nonetheless, the guy borrowed her phone and disappear within minutes.

That's not the end of the story... that was pretty minor because no harm was done beside losing her mobile phone. Here's the next act..... 10 DAYS AFTER.........

The guy came to my branch and once again talk about getting a mortgage with us. He then took my colleague's business card. This time, the story changed. He didn't steal my colleague's phone. He literally stole his identity as a Bank officer!!!

He duplicated my colleague's card and started to go on the street. Until a client came up to my branch's door step to look for my colleague, and of course hitting a dead end!! That client actually lost his Nokia N70 to the con man, supposingly a banker trying to sell him a credit card.. Now, my colleague need to slowly make sure his name is not jeopardized because his FULL NAME WAS USED ON THE CARD!!!

Please remember to keep your eyes open.... he's on the loose!!!!!! Watch out for your handphone and business card... we never know what will he be up too next....

**Love Bytes**

Say... One question...
Do you think you can find love thru the match making sites?

You know what I think? Perhaps it is the easiest way to TRY to find love BUT don't you think it's rather a waste of effort?

Maybe it's just me.... I don't think it's right.... Yes, you may find problem looking for love.... That's one reason why love is precious and sacred? Ask yourself one thing.... have you tried hard enough....

You are like exposing yourself to so many things... How sure are you that the person you are talking or emailing is really the person you are looking for; be it you have their photos. Are you willing to risk falling in love and find that you have actually being lied to? Is your love worth going thru that? Besides, what makes you think you will be picked out of thousand of other member in the site?

Of course NOT!!!!! I may not know how precious your feelings are but I think to actually fall in love take lots of effort & time.... It's indeed an investment that is fruitful if it's successful. At least you actually feel and touch it...... An experience to remember if you fail. Thru internet, it's all bytes & "101011001". What do you feel? Yourself? Be real..... Everyone wants someone to actually show their passion... to feel the caress on the cheek, to feel the stroke of on his/her hair and to smell your love one's scent.

Reality sucks but hey, that's just the way of life. And I love that real thing.... don't you?
